LOCATIONS FAQ: The Forest

THE FOREST
The forest is one of the primary locations in Cruxisa. Besides the Dead Zone, it is one of the safest spots
away from angels due to it's high density foliage. You can find the Resistance Headquarters deep within the
forest as well as a number of other independent groups.

Though be careful, the forest certainly has it's own number of dangers....

How big is the Forest?
Big. In the mountain valley that Paradisa is set in, it takes up most of the area. It takes several days to cross it on foot in some areas of it. Eventually I will bother to dig up a map and link it in here.

What is the terrain of the forest like?
In the areas closer to the town and the castle, the terrain is much flatter or gentle slopes. But as you get closer to the mountains, it gets rockier and more rugged terrain. In the mountainous area, there are plenty of pockets of small valleys and waterfalls and what not until you hit the tree line of the mountains.

What type of plants are in the forest?
Any sort of non-tropical plant! Paradisa has brought in all types of plants from many worlds. If any of you are ecologists or botanists, you might even notice that there are a lot of plants in this forest that don't normally exist in the same ecosystem back in their old worlds seem to thrive just fine in Paradisa.

What type of animals are in the forest?
All sorts! So far the ones confirmed are:
  • Squirrels
  • Small birds
  • Deer
  • Rabbits
  • Pterodactyls
  • Raccoons
  • Bears
  • Feral Pokemon
And it's fully possible for more to be discovered!

Wait...Pterodactyls??
Yeah. You can thank James for letting his loose and letting it breed :| And apparently they breed fast so- have fun with the rats with dino wings.

Can the forest be destroyed?
You can destroy part of the forest, but Paradisa will quickly regrow it, since hey, magical forest. This is why it makes such great cover for survivors!

What about flying through the forest?
Another advantage point (or disadvantage point). Through the less dense parts, most people can fly through it if they have wings. But the deeper into the forest you go, the more dense it gets. Which means it's trickier to fly through- so mindless angels would have a hard time even trying to fly under the canopy of the forest. As for those of you who can fly and have minds? Well, that all depends on your skill level at dodging trees.
