The Story Thus Far:

The Once-ler has successfully freed Martel Yggdrasil from captivity, bringing her to the woods for safety. Martel, afraid of the retribution this might bring, pleaded Once-ler to tell no one that she has escaped. Once-ler then returned to the Resistance, only telling Ino about what had happened. Martel meanwhile traveled the woods alone until she met up with Zack Fair, the now embittered mercenary that's been doing what he can to stay alive and free in this setting.

However it wasn't as though Martel's disappearance went without notice. Mithos noticed his sister's absence and has set out all stops to find her. Whether or not you know of Martel's release, it's hard not to notice the larger number of angels around - even if some appear less than intimidating. Because of this, the small traveling group of Zelos Wilder, Arya Stark and Genis Sage have decided to travel to the mountains to use the stronger winds for safe haven from any lifeless angels until they can stronger.

Meanwhile back in the Resistance, efforts to fight back still persist. The inventors are having struggles in creating better keycrests for their loved ones  that have been transformed into angels. In the less tech part of the Resistance, Tsuna and Allen continued their efforts to revert angels back to their former selves. They were successful in converting Mithos's former assassin Sheena, but due to some mishaps Maladict escaped from their attempts.

Oh and Garry moped.

With all these different teams going on, what will be the next thing to occur? Will things turn in favor to the Resistance, or will it only get worse? Will Garry ever stop moping? Will any of you remember to use the damn journal? Only time will tell...

[OOC: This post has two services, first as a recap as you seen above, as well as a mass open post for all the on-goings you rather not make an entire post for! Feel free to use this post as such or simply make your own post in the comm, it matters not! As for amount of time, while the game is very flexible we'll set it to be still a few days after the staring point of the game cause why not]

[ Her remark is notably less barbed than usual. It's stated more like a simple fact than a taunt, but of course murmured with a smile. ]

[He catches it's less barbed than usual, but even with that he can't stop the smart remark coming out. Man, one day he really needs to get one of those voices in his head that tells him to quit before he hurts himself]

[ Glancing up, Echidna smirks. Stupid tall, scrawny boy, of course he doesn't understand. But she doesn't mind that he thinks the worst of her, she doesn't mind it at all. If she can goad it into something worse, all the better. ]

Me? I'm just a simple woman with simple needs. Why, would you like me to comfort her in your place?

Somehow, I really don't think she wants that sort of comfort from either of us. She's got a fiancé for that. [Okay, a fiancé who doesn't know she's out of captivity and living in the forest but details]

I doubt she'd appreciate you coming onto her.

[The Once-ler gives a shrug to show he's really not all that insulted]

Hey, I can't blame you. I am pretty tall compared to...uh... everyone.

And neither would you, mm? If I touched her? Pleasured her? Hurt her? Killed her? Released...her...? Would you stop me?

[ She leans over, eyes glinting; breath hitched. For being so still, sounding so calm, she couldn't seem more anxious. ]

Would you take that axe and cut me down, Zero?

[Is there a glimmer of disappointment in her eyes as he abandons the axe? Possibly. Actually, more like probably. So, sorry if she doesn't return the smile, Once-ler--but at least she's not charging ahead to kill you.]

Yeah. Finally.

[After two years of solitary hell. So good to be back...]

[The axe that was on the floor moments ago very quickly finds itself buried in the table, just about missing Echidna's leg. Not that he knows he could have actually hit her even if he was aiming for her. Which he wasn't. He likes to hope he's not that far gone yet]

I could certainly try. I probably wouldn't get very far and chances are you'd make me a stain on the ground before I could even get a decent swing in. But hey, that's me. I'm a trier.

[There's a bit of sarcastic inflection on that last word--as though she doesn't approve the effort.]

[ Back arching, Echidna's lips press tightly together for only a moment before she drops backwards, peals of her laughter soon echoing through the tunnel. Kenta slithers down her thigh to coil just next to the splintered wood, forked tongue flicking against the side of the axe. ]

So serious! I can't get enough of your sorry attempts. But you won't be any good to anyone if you try and die.

[His smile fades a little]

I'm sorry we couldn't get you out sooner. You haven't been the easiest person to bring down.

...And I'm sorry for... [he waves his hand to encompass the universe in general] everything. It can't be easy right now.

[Sometime after they ran into Dany, Zelos is taken the chance to get a bit of time by himself. He's located what seems to be some sort of mountain lake. After well...a good five minutes of undoing all the belts his ridiculous outfit has, he's currently in the water that is thankfully waist deep and doing what he can to scrub himself clean. His sword is on a rock near him, in case anyone approaches]

[What just because his life is utter shit doesn't mean he has to SMELL like it.]

[ Echidna's back up in an instant, crouching on her knees on the table's edge so that she is, yes, straddling his arm and the axe's handle, lewdly preventing him from pulling it back out (without hurting her, of course). With one hand stretched out so that her nails ghost just under his chin, any passing soul might get an entirely different idea if they saw.

But they can't see her eyes; the Once-ler can. And her desire isn't pure, or normal, or anything he could even begin to guess at, but it is a yearning and it is volatile. ]

There's no room for fake heroes anymore. To protect her, if you love her, you must be willing to do anything.

Next time you swing a weapon at me, aim to kill, or you won't get a second chance. Understand?

[ Hi, Zelos. Remember your shadow? Because she sort of followed you. Hi. Hi. ]

[Yeah he picks up the sound of her without even looking and...freezes. My god of all the people did it seriously have to be the young girl?]

[He'll call out tentatively, so hoping he's picking it up wrong and it's actually some angel operative out to kill him or something because that's less awkward]

...Arya? That you my little wolf?

[ You get a dragon screech in return. Nymeria scrambles into view first. Arya follows, Viserion on her shoulder proving forever and ever nightmares are forever. ]

Who else would it be?
