[It's been a long time since she's looked at her journal, but even in her darkest moments, Sheena's never forgotten it or the people she once spoke to over it. How could she, when she'd see their faces as she hunted them down again and again?

For several long moments, she sits in a quiet corner of Once-ler's cave running her hand over the binding, as though trying to commit it to memory before opening it. Her eyes narrow in confusion as she sees what's been written there. Strange ramblings about anything and everything--including a comparison (with pictures) of Once-ler and a giraffe and the theory of how they're related.

She closes the book, then re-opens it. Yes, all those things are still there. Picking up the pencil she had found, she sighed as she put the shaking tip to the paper and began writing.]

[Filtered away from Mithos and his unchanged supporters and those who have been turned into Angels of all kinds and have yet to be fitted with a keycrest]

[That should do it because she's not exactly writing anything, but sketching...

At first the strokes are hesitant, but soon they gain confidence as her skill comes back and those who recognize who she's drawn will know it for what it is:

A notice that she's alive and has been 'crested.

Setting the journal aside, she sits with her knees drawn to her chest, hoping that this signal isn't too late.]

[ooc: She's trying to get in contact with those from home who might still be around in order to start healing, but anyone is free to contact her and let her know they're alive.]

[She claps her hands over her ears. Even through the journal, he's loud.]

[Quiet screams? No. Harsh whispers.]

[Yeah, that's not gonna stop Zelos]

WHY? YOU YELLED IN MY EARS FOR YEARS!

[That brings her up short. She hadn't realized what she put him through until now.]

I'm sorry. [She lowers her hands.] Go on, then. I deserve it.

[And that just causes him to give a frustrated noise as he tugs on his short hair. This isn't entirely Sheena's fault, more like hairline triggers being laid everywhere. ]

[She's confused by his reaction, but if it'll get him to quiet down so she's not in pain, then she's going to shut up.]

[He exhales and there is a long pause, because oh- now I actually have to think of something to SAY. Good going, Zelos]

[Finally he'll speak, but at least he's not at shouting anymore]

Look, I know you feel...really guilty about everything that went on, I know you do. And I'm not telling you how to act with the people you've hurt.

But...

I'm the last person you should be acting that way towards. All you did was try to save me.

If anything...I should be the one with no rights and apologizing.

So..knock it off, okay?

[For a long time, she sits there in relief and shock from both how he speaks and what he's said, her fingers tracing the outline of her drawing without touching it.]

You knew-- You know why I did what I did?

[She had thought no one knew.]

But why should you apologize?

I was aware the whole time. I couldn't say or do anything, but...

Yeah. I knew.

[She's quiet as she takes this in.]

Oh. Oh, Zelos. I wish it had worked. You didn't deserve that.

And what? You did?

If it would have saved you and the others, you know what I would do--whether I deserved it or not.

[a pause]

...Yeah. I know.

[As much as he wishes you weren't that sort]

[But she is that sort, and it will never change.]

[The sound of resigned acceptance can be heard.]

With screaming and kicking, yep.

The kicking I could probably stand, but the screaming? I'd gag you first.

[That might be total acceptance.]

[Is she smiling? She so totally is.]
