The Story Thus Far:

The Once-ler has successfully freed Martel Yggdrasil from captivity, bringing her to the woods for safety. Martel, afraid of the retribution this might bring, pleaded Once-ler to tell no one that she has escaped. Once-ler then returned to the Resistance, only telling Ino about what had happened. Martel meanwhile traveled the woods alone until she met up with Zack Fair, the now embittered mercenary that's been doing what he can to stay alive and free in this setting.

However it wasn't as though Martel's disappearance went without notice. Mithos noticed his sister's absence and has set out all stops to find her. Whether or not you know of Martel's release, it's hard not to notice the larger number of angels around - even if some appear less than intimidating. Because of this, the small traveling group of Zelos Wilder, Arya Stark and Genis Sage have decided to travel to the mountains to use the stronger winds for safe haven from any lifeless angels until they can stronger.

Meanwhile back in the Resistance, efforts to fight back still persist. The inventors are having struggles in creating better keycrests for their loved ones  that have been transformed into angels. In the less tech part of the Resistance, Tsuna and Allen continued their efforts to revert angels back to their former selves. They were successful in converting Mithos's former assassin Sheena, but due to some mishaps Maladict escaped from their attempts.

Oh and Garry moped.

With all these different teams going on, what will be the next thing to occur? Will things turn in favor to the Resistance, or will it only get worse? Will Garry ever stop moping? Will any of you remember to use the damn journal? Only time will tell...

[Martel actually laughs at that.] No, I'm not a werewolf.

Someone rescued me from the castle. Mithos has stepped up the patrols to find me and bring me back.

[...just side glances at Maya before going on. Sometimes, it's real hard to tell if Maya is more or less sensical than the crazy girl she traveled with before]

Lotta folks been taken from the castle before without a raise in patrols. What makes you so special?

Yeah, what she said. If you're being chased, doesn't that mean you should definitely stick with other people?

I'm Mithos' older sister that he's held captive since he took over. Of course he wants me back unharmed. But he'll probably kill anyone with me. [That's another warning against being seen with her. The older woman seems smart, maybe she'll take the girl and leave.]

[So that was it huh? Zoe had heard rumors that Mithos had a sister. One that he cared for so much that he kept her locked up safe and tight]

[Zoe is indeed smart, but not really in the way that Martel's hoping]

Don't take offense, but pretty sure your brother will kill us no matter if you're with us or not. Or do what he did to the rest.

You got angel senses?

And getting turned into angels is even worse than getting killed, if you think about it...

[she tries to say that in the most nonchalant way that she can. The idea freaks her out a lot, but she wants to seem calm so that Martel doesn't worry... After all, this lady can't be going around by herself, that's the worst!

Ooh, and she watches Martel to see what her answer is to Zoe's question]

[She wisely ignores the first part because she knows she's right.] Of course I do. I've been an angel since before I came to the Castle.

...Why?

[She nods at Maya]

Neither of us do, we're normal humans. [other than Maya's channeling thing but you know whatever] Been out here awhile, just tryin' to get by.

If the patrol's been made worse like you said, we could use the help so we ain't runnin' blind out here.

Yeah, you'd be a big help.

Not to mention... three heads are always better than two, I think you should stick with us. It would be safer for all of us.

[She thinks about it. They probably truly do need help, and it is her fault the patrols have gotten worse. If they get captured or die, she would really feel guilty. She has to watch out for them.]

...All right. You have a deal. [She jumps down from the tree, landing lightly on her feet.]

Yeah...what she said. [It makes mostly sense]

[She'll smile a little when Martel lands. Aw yeah things are gonna be easier now \o/]

I'm Maya! Welcome to the team.

Martel. Pleased to meet you both. [She looks around.] Where were you going when you found me?

[She nods at Martel]

Tryin' to find a good spot to watch the city. See how the patrol's changed there.

And then we might pull off a heist!

...Oh, really? What are we going to steal? [Martel is with this 100%. She promised she would stay in the forest, but well...she's pretty sure Zelos left. She hadn't seen him since then. And really, it wasn't reckless. she was going with two other people.]

Supplies. Maybe for traps, or explosives- whatever we can find.

[optimystic]

Yep. It's safer out here, but all the useful stuff is back in town. If we pick up some cool stuff, maybe we can make something even cooler!

That is true. Of course I'll come with you. [They might need her with her senses.]
