[save_the_souls]

The Story Thus Far:

The Once-ler has successfully freed Martel Yggdrasil from captivity, bringing her to the woods for safety. Martel, afraid of the retribution this might bring, pleaded Once-ler to tell no one that she has escaped. Once-ler then returned to the Resistance, only telling Ino about what had happened. Martel meanwhile traveled the woods alone until she met up with Zack Fair, the now embittered mercenary that's been doing what he can to stay alive and free in this setting.

However it wasn't as though Martel's disappearance went without notice. Mithos noticed his sister's absence and has set out all stops to find her. Whether or not you know of Martel's release, it's hard not to notice the larger number of angels around - even if some appear less than intimidating. Because of this, the small traveling group of Zelos Wilder, Arya Stark and Genis Sage have decided to travel to the mountains to use the stronger winds for safe haven from any lifeless angels until they can stronger.

Meanwhile back in the Resistance, efforts to fight back still persist. The inventors are having struggles in creating better keycrests for their loved ones  that have been transformed into angels. In the less tech part of the Resistance, Tsuna and Allen continued their efforts to revert angels back to their former selves. They were successful in converting Mithos's former assassin Sheena, but due to some mishaps Maladict escaped from their attempts.

Oh and Garry moped.

With all these different teams going on, what will be the next thing to occur? Will things turn in favor to the Resistance, or will it only get worse? Will Garry ever stop moping? Will any of you remember to use the damn journal? Only time will tell...

A smart queen knows when to fight and when to retreat. [ Arya strokes Dany's hair like her mother would hers. ] And I'm well now. I even have wings.

[ It is the biggest lie she has ever told and Arya does her utmost to make it convincing. Calm as still water, her voice never wavers.

In truth, she had not been aiming to sacrifice herself. She had every intention of finding Daenerys later. But in restrospect, if anyone had to be caught, it was better it was her. She is not as important as Daenerys. Not just because of the dragons. Daenerys will be queen one day. She will be great. Her life is worth more. ]

I know. [ But she does not like it, she wants her kingdom to be full of laughing childern and smiling maids. She wants to bring warmth and life back into Arya Stark's life. She wants to heal the Riverlands and restore the North. Leaving Arya behind as she fled was one of the most painful things she had ever had to do. ] I know.

[ She wants to believe it, but she can't. Something in her refuse to believe that Arya is well, can't believe that she is well.

After a moment she pulls back brushing trembling, bleeding hands over the girl's hair. How has this happened? When did she become the child and Arya a woman grown, when did their positions switch? ]

I do not want to lose you again, Arya. [ She holds the Stark girl's life in high regard, she is precious to her. No matter what she may think, Daenerys would have given anything to have saved Arya from capture. ]

Neither does Nymeria and Drogon. [ In response the black-and-red dragon lands beside them, nuzzling Arya's leg briefly. ]

You shan't. I won't be caught again. I promise.

[draca]

[ She smiles; it is wan, broken, and hurts her cheeks but she manages it all the same. It is only then she manages to push herself to her feet, but not without any struggle. She wobbles and hisses, the pain from her palms and knees still very much there.

Her hands will be need to be cleaned and wrapped, her knees checked out once they are back within the safety of her cave. ]

We shouldn't linger here. [ Cautiously she looks to the sky and then the area around them. The mountains are safe, she knows this, regardless she cannot help but feel uncomfortable lingering too long in open sky. ] There is a cave not far from here, Rhaegal and Viserion are there. [ Both of you, you're coming back with her no matter what you say. ]

[wilder]

[He nods, moving to get up from his spot]

I'll find Genis. He's another person traveling with us.

[innominata]

[ Arya groans quietly. ]

[draca]

[ Dany tenses and Drogon scales up her to settle on her shoulder again. ]

Can he be trusted? [ Smoke escapes Drogon's mouth, a silent implication of what will happen to this Genis should he prove to be untrustworthy. ]

[wilder]

[He simply nods as he looks at Dany, ignoring Arya's groan]

Sure can. He can be a real brat, but he's trustworthy.

[Which you know, not a whole lot of people Zelos would actually say for such]

[ Don't mind Arya putting on a face like Genis kicked a puppy in front of her.

By the way, Dany? He so kicks puppies. It's awful. He's awful. ]

[draca]

[ Drogon hisses out some more smoke, regardless of Zelos' word both dragon and mother are still apprehensive.

Right now? She'd totally believe this kid kicks pups and eats their flesh or something along those lines. ]

Very well.

[ It goes without saying that he better watch his step, neither the dragons or Nymeria won't take any of his shit. ]

[wilder]

[Zelos meanwhile feels discouraged from that reaction. And he definitely notices what Arya is doing, he wouldn't be surprised if Arya tries to pull Dany onto "her" side the moment his back was turned, being the brat she was acting when it came to Genis.]

He's a child that's lost everything. Was treated like dirt in our world, and this thing's made him lose what family he did have after...well, a treacherous friend would be the nicest way to put it.

[A "friend" Zelos would love nothing more than to stab in the head- but he's not going into more detail than that.]

I know people aren't really warm to strangers these days and everyone's got their own problems to worry about and stories like that, but...you know...I trust you won't go too hard on him?

[ Arya glares at Zelos. She grabs Dany's hand tenderly. ]

We're not cruel.

[draca]

[ For a moment Daenerys feels guilty, but Drogon simply huffs tightening his grip on her tail squeezing her arm slightly. It dissipates upon Arya's taking of her hand, fingers hesitantly returning the grip. ]

I do not bring harm to children. [ The dragons she cannot really account for, they are more protective these days. Drogon especially. And Nymeria... the direwolf would likely have no qualms in attacking should any sort of danger rear it's head. ]

[wilder]

[he simply shrugs.]

Hey, I don't mean any offense. It's just been.....however long it's been since I've seen the Khaleesi.

[You tend to lose track of time when you're a soulless zombie okay?]

How long has it been anyway?

[innominata]

[ Yeah, Dany, how long has it been. ]

[draca]

[ She flinches, eyes flicking to the ground. ]

I'm... not sure. [ A sense of time was lost along with other things. ] Too long. More than twelve moons, I think.

[wilder]

...Twelve moons is a year, right?

[a bitter sigh]

Great.

[innominata]

Am I three-and-ten now? [ Priorities. ]

[draca]

...I think I am nine-and-ten. [ But she cannot be entirely sure, it is hard to keep a grip on time when you're spending every day simply trying to survive. ]

[wilder]

Most likely, my little wolf.

Maybe we can ask someone in the Resistance for an exact date, they might know.

[he's not going to bother counting his age. It'll just depress him]

Does that mean I'm a woman-grown? [ Best priorities. ]

[draca]

I believe so. [ She squeezes Arya's hand a little, a ghost of a smile appearing on her lips. ]

[wilder]

No. Because if you're all grown up, that would mean I'm old. And I can't accept that.

You've always been old.

[draca]

[ That's smile is still there and boy does it hurt her cheeks. ]
