The Story Thus Far:

The Once-ler has successfully freed Martel Yggdrasil from captivity, bringing her to the woods for safety. Martel, afraid of the retribution this might bring, pleaded Once-ler to tell no one that she has escaped. Once-ler then returned to the Resistance, only telling Ino about what had happened. Martel meanwhile traveled the woods alone until she met up with Zack Fair, the now embittered mercenary that's been doing what he can to stay alive and free in this setting.

However it wasn't as though Martel's disappearance went without notice. Mithos noticed his sister's absence and has set out all stops to find her. Whether or not you know of Martel's release, it's hard not to notice the larger number of angels around - even if some appear less than intimidating. Because of this, the small traveling group of Zelos Wilder, Arya Stark and Genis Sage have decided to travel to the mountains to use the stronger winds for safe haven from any lifeless angels until they can stronger.

Meanwhile back in the Resistance, efforts to fight back still persist. The inventors are having struggles in creating better keycrests for their loved ones that have been transformed into angels. In the less tech part of the Resistance, Tsuna and Allen continued their efforts to revert angels back to their former selves. They were successful in converting Mithos's former assassin Sheena, but due to some mishaps Maladict escaped from their attempts.

Oh and Garry moped.

With all these different teams going on, what will be the next thing to occur? Will things turn in favor to the Resistance, or will it only get worse? Will Garry ever stop moping? Will any of you remember to use the damn journal? Only time will tell...

[He winces away, even though he doesn't feel it, and instead gives her a frown.]

What, so you just think that the only way out now is...killing yourself, is that it?

[Garry shakes his head. No. NO.]

Listen...I understand being an angel is hard, I know. And I can't imagine what you've went through, being over in that castle, but in the end, you're still you, you know. Despite all of this added stuff, we're still us, and that's worth fighting for, okay?

Killing yourself...it's just like giving up. You have people who rely on you and you just want to throw that away...I don't want that to happen. I never want that to happen.

They were right so long ago. I don't deserve to be alive. Not then, and not now.

[She turns away and looks at her hands.]

I've done something far worse than kill too many people this time. I made it possible for them to be placed in that mindless hell known as being an Angel. I can never be forgiven for that.

No, you do! Everyone does...And you may have done some bad things in the past, but that doesn't mean you need to drown yourself in them. What good is that going to do you?

And if it means anything, I forgive you. What we did back then, in that castle...that's over and done with. That wasn't us, don't you understand?

It will keep me away from everyone so I don't hurt them anymore.

[She looks at him, confused and contemplating.]

You forgive me? [She can't. Not yet. It may not have been her, but she had always been stubborn about not playing by anyone else's rules.

After a moment, she says one word. A word that if he had ever hear her utter to a certain someone, still may possess the faintest echo of that intonation.]

But you won't hurt anyone anymore, right? You're you again. I mean, unless you like hurting people in your spare time, which I'm sure you don't, then you won't do that out of the blue

And yes, I do. I forgive you, because...because I get it. I know what it was like, and we shouldn't let that trouble us, okay?

[And at the word, he is taken aback, but he just lets out a sigh. It's not like he's ever heard that word directed to him before.]

[Who ever can she be referring to?]

Yes, forgiving me is not right.

[She hasn't been able to do it for herself yet.]

[He raises an eyebrow.]

Huh? Who are you talking about? And of course forgiving you is right! It's the best thing to do, for somebody like you.

Zelos.

What do you mean? "Someone like me?"

...Wait a second, Zelos is here! You know him? The guy with the red hair, right? I met him a while ago, he is so totally here!

For somebody who blames yourself as much as you do. Believe me, I've been in your situation...and the only thing that gets you out of something like that is hearing that somebody else believes in you and forgives you. Because your own forgiveness can't touch you, that's what you think, right?

Zelos? Is here? Yeah, he's got red hair.

[She gestures to show "long hair and a headband".]

I've been in this situation before, too, Garry. There are only so many times I can be forgiven for killing people.

Oh, yes, that's him! You can go and say hi, I'm sure he won't mind.

[Though now Zelos has short hair, but Gary is still convinced they're talking about the same person.]

Sheena...if you were forgiven in the first place, that means people saw that you weren't a true murderer. A murder doesn't a bad person make, you know.

[And he glances off to the side, suddenly looking uncomfortable.]

Believe me, I know.

He's here? Really?

[Oh, please tell her about the short hair. It might make her feel better.]

Yeah. I guess you're right.

[She's got her own brand of uncomfortable going on.]

What do you mean?

Yes, really! I talked to him not long ago. He's an angel, too.

[Sob, he'll only mention it if she asks if he's changed any since Paradisa days.]

[And at her question, he'll just pause and shake his head, frowning.]

No...it's nothing. Forget I said anything. But what I said was true...you know, before.

[She hadn't needed to hear that, Garry. It just drove home the point she had failed.]

About being forgiven? Being true doesn't make it right, though.

[She's stubborn, Garry. Just hit her or something.]

[Sob, sorry, Sheena, he's still not over the fact that he was responsible for a certain person's death in canon. Otherwise, he would tell you.]

[Also, no hitting, he doesn't hit girls ~~unless they attack him with palette knives~~]

Well, I believe it's right! And I'm sure everyone else would agree with me too!

[She knows that feeling. Despite appearances, she's not quite over what happened back home or you know, here in Paradisa--helping to send people into Mithos' clutches.]

No one else will, Garry. I hurt too many people.

[She refuses to get her hopes up.]
