MASS OPEN POST
The Story Thus Far:
The Once-ler has successfully freed Martel Yggdrasil from captivity, bringing her to the woods for safety. Martel, afraid of the retribution this might bring, pleaded Once-ler to tell no one that she has escaped. Once-ler then returned to the Resistance, only telling Ino about what had happened. Martel meanwhile traveled the woods alone until she met up with Zack Fair, the now embittered mercenary that's been doing what he can to stay alive and free in this setting.
However it wasn't as though Martel's disappearance went without notice. Mithos noticed his sister's absence and has set out all stops to find her. Whether or not you know of Martel's release, it's hard not to notice the larger number of angels around - even if some appear less than intimidating. Because of this, the small traveling group of Zelos Wilder, Arya Stark and Genis Sage have decided to travel to the mountains to use the stronger winds for safe haven from any lifeless angels until they can stronger.
Meanwhile back in the Resistance, efforts to fight back still persist. The inventors are having struggles in creating better keycrests for their loved ones that have been transformed into angels. In the less tech part of the Resistance, Tsuna and Allen continued their efforts to revert angels back to their former selves. They were successful in converting Mithos's former assassin Sheena, but due to some mishaps Maladict escaped from their attempts.
Oh and Garry moped.
With all these different teams going on, what will be the next thing to occur? Will things turn in favor to the Resistance, or will it only get worse? Will Garry ever stop moping? Will any of you remember to use the damn journal? Only time will tell...
[OOC: This post has two services, first as a recap as you seen above, as well as a mass open post for all the on-goings you rather not make an entire post for! Feel free to use this post as such or simply make your own post in the comm, it matters not! As for amount of time, while the game is very flexible we'll set it to be still a few days after the staring point of the game cause why not]

needs Lifealertassistance!]Oh, dear, oh dear oh dear!! Hey, are you okay?
[Going over to try to help him up by offering him a hand like the helpful person he is! And also putting a finger to his lips to Lemony, talking in a loud whisper:]
Hey, just do me a favor and be quiet, okay? Angels have got really good hearing...that's how I knew you were over here in the first place!
[And then a miserable nod at the question.] Yeah...it was definitely something I'll never forget, really. And the worst thing is? There's no way to turn angels back to human beings completely...I'll be like this as long as I live, which will probably be forever if what I've heard about angels is any indication.
I LOL'D. SO HARD. OMG.
THIS WHOLE GAME NEEDS LIFEALERT SERIOUSLY
Hey, hey, I'm fine! I'll be fine and, um...[He looks uncomfortable.] Well, I'm always afraid that will happen. I just come down here because there are things that are here that don't exactly grow on trees, you know? Stuff like thread and pens and tools for the Resistance to use.
I just dart in and out as fast as I can, but then I noticed you here...
IKR
I don't suppose they're in need of a Volunteer?
too bad the lifealert van might be driven by angels oops
Oh, I'm sure they'd love your help...really, they're working on all sorts of things up there, like better keycrests and weapons, so I'm sure you'd fit right in.
[UNLIKE HIM SOB]
[But he gets back up (don't mind the feathers scattered around, Garry just moults too much for his own good) and gestures for Lemony to follow.]
I'll take you there, just follow me.
it's a tarp
I've spent most of my life helping to put out fires, you see. Literally and metaphorically.
asdfgfdsdf tarp
[And stepping out into the street first so he can look over the area, before signalling to Lemony that it is alright to follow.]
Though I don't think I quite understand the metaphorical fire part.
/bows
A metaphorical fire, as opposed to a literal one, refers to something troublesome - an argument, perhaps, or a missing crucial object. One might put out a metaphorical fire by attempting to keep the conversation civil, or perhaps giving one of the arguing parties different directions to the luncheon where the argument would have feasibly taken place, therefore keeping it from happening at all. They could also help to locate the missing object, or find a suitable replacement.
/pats
[And now he's going to start to lead him out of the town without stopping for the thread he was originally supposed to get- he could go back any time, really, and the primary job here was to get this man out safe and alive.]
Oh, I didn't get your name, by the way. [He flashes a smile over his shoulder.] I'm Garry.
no subject
But I'm glad to meet you, Garry, even under such distressing circumstances. My name is Lemony Snicket.
no subject
Yeah, it's nice to meet you too, Lemony. [And once they reach the edge of the city into the woods, he'll let out a sigh, though he knows the danger isn't done yet.]
...I hope you don't mind walking, by the way. It's quite a distance from here, and the terrain can be a bit tough.
no subject
no subject
[He thinks about that for a moment, before answering.] A distance in which you think you get there sooner but it takes a lot longer than what you were thinking...I think it depends on the person, really.
If you want me to tell you numbers, I'll probably have to tell you later...don't want any angels to overhear if they're on patrol, right? The last thing I want is for them to find the camp...
But around ten minutes or so, I think, if we're fast.
no subject
[he thinks for a moment as he follows Garry, then breaks the silence again, carefully] A rickshaw is a sort of cart, drawn by another person as a means of getting someone from Point A to Point B. And a Studebaker is a somewhat stylish if antiquated model of automobile... [he coughs quietly]
I hope you'll forgive me, Garry. It's been a while since I was in Paradisa proper, and forgot that such things can be anachronistic - a phrase which means "the sort of stuff no one has ever even heard of and might translate to be the name of a foreign cuisine rather than a mode of transportation".
no subject
[And he listens with interest.] Huh...they sound really fancy! It is definitely, erm, as you say, anachronistic. I don't think I've seen any one of those, except for cars, of course. Funny how there are so many ways of transporting people around, isn't there?
[TIME FOR ANOTHER PAGE IN HIS JOURNAL ABOUT THIS, YEP.]
Oh! You...you were in Paradisa before? Wow, that must be quite the change for you, with everything that has happened...I mean, a lot of things have changed, as you can clearly see.
no subject
It is, yes ... though I've long been accustomed with the Buddhist principle of the world being a constant engine of change and suffering, there are a couple of aspects I still haven't quite been able to get used to. ... Mostly the change and the suffering.
no subject
[A short laugh.] I don't think anybody would be used to change and suffering. Isn't that the point? If we were used to it, then it would be a scary world, indeed...

[And he pauses, letting out a sad sigh.]
It's always better when you know that someone, somewhere, somehow, out in the world loves you...
no subject
no subject
Well...yes. I have. [He glances away with an unreadable expression.] I don't know where she is, though I suspect it's the castle, but...either way, the last time I saw her was over two years ago.
no subject
no subject
[He trails off and gestures offhandedly to his wings.]
Well, that.
no subject
no subject
Oh, it does. It really, really does. And then you're lucky in a way, because you don't feel any of it anymore after a few days, but then it keeps going, and going, and...
[He frowns, his mouth a thin line.]
Basically...I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Sometimes, you wish you were killed instead, because that, at least, would be easier, faster, but no, you're just stuck in this...this never-ending torture for a few days as you become something you never wanted to become.
[And he shakes his head and turns away, trying to hide the utter melancholy that he got every time he thought about it.]
...I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't have elaborated on that. It's horrible enough as it is, but what's done is done.
